LuckyBoxOWL in Löhne/Germany

We – Cathrin and Michael Kirchhoff – launched our business in 2021, renting out roof boxes, rear cargo boxes, bike racks and accessories to help make car holidays more relaxed. It didn’t take us long to choose a name for our business.

For whilst we were pondering, our big mixed-breed dog ‘Lucky’ was demanding his cuddles. Add to that ‘Box’ for our core business and ‘OWL’ for

 OstWestfalen-Lippe.  Our home. That’s why we’re called LuckyBoxOWL.

We have been accepting online booking since 2022.
What started as a start-up has since grown into a small business that is now known far beyond the borders of East Westphalia-Lippe.
We added roof tents in 2025 and a motorhome in 2026 – perfect for holidays with your four-legged friend.

Our experience from over 1,200 rentals has gone into our LuckyBoxVAN rear cargo box design. 

A brilliant solution for VW Buses, vans and campervans.

At the moment, the shop is only available in German. 
We are working on an English version. We deliver to all EU countries and are happy to communicate in English.

The classic in our rental range: the roof box.

Suitable for almost all vehicles.

We offer sizes ranging from 400 to 610 litres. 

We have plenty of roof racks in stock. 

Whether for open or integrated roof rails. Or even for cars without roof rails.

And if we don’t have what you need, we can usually source it.

The alternative: the rear cargo box for cars and SUVs

For all vehicles with a tow bar. A useful option if there are no roof rails. 

Or as a complement to a roof box.
